BotMania (Give Kids the World)
This project is a team of six ETC students collaborating with Give Kids The World Village, a nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Florida that provides cost-free vacations to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. One of the many on-site attractions that Give Kids The World offers its guests is the WonderLab, a makerspace which aims to introduce kids to STEAM concepts in a fun and interactive way. In cooperation with WonderLab staff and volunteers, our team is designing and installing a new experience that utilizes one of their existing platforms. Using motion-tracking and a mixture of digital and physical components, we are creating a fun, interactive experience that encourages children to interact with the WonderLab's robot mascots Won, Mage and Bil, to promote STEAM concepts and enthusiasm for exploration.
My role on this project is co-producer and artist. For producing, the other producer and I split the work for project management, scheduling timelines, arranging meetings and playtests, taking notes, and also reaching out for outside resources. We use Notion to mark down important deadlines and milestones, and we also set up task tracking doc with Notion for team members to know clearly where they are at. Other than project management, I also contributed on designing the PowerPoint for presentations.
As an artist, I design the logo and poster for our team together with the other artist on the team. I also drew several user flow storyboards for more efficient presentations to our client and instructor. Later in this project I will work with the other artist to design the UI of the game, as well as character animations and visual effects.

[ETC BVW] Monkeying Around
This is a game made for Building Virtual World course at Entertainment Technology Center, Carnegie Mellon University. It is a 5-people 2-week project. The platform is VR.
My primary role on this project is Producer and Sound Designer. I designed and discussed the production schedule with the team at the beginning of this project, helped arranging playtests to improve the gameplay when the production stuck with some problems, and also set up short meetings on a regular basis so that the whole team would always be on the same page and not feeling overwhelmed at the same time. I did voiceover and sound effects for the intro cutscene, as well as for the actual gameplay, and I found resources for background music from freesound.org, made my own edit to it in Adobe Audition, and applied to the game.
I also contributed to art assets, including 3D models and storyboards, to help lighten the artists’ workload.

Donkey Work (Undergrad Thesis)
Donkey Work is a short animated film. The term 'donkey work' refers to monotonous and routine work. My inspiration comes from a past project I made based on revolving doors(In & Out). In this animation project, I focused more on the connection between revolving doors and workplace in stead of technology.
Through Donkey Work, I aim to reflect issues of social inequality and timelessly struggles that ordinary workers have to go through.
Through Donkey Work, I aim to reflect issues of social inequality and timelessly struggles that ordinary workers have to go through.

In & Out
The idea comes from a deeply personal childhood experience that profoundly shaped my perspective on technology and its relationship with humanity. I witnessed a friend get injured by a revolving door at a very young age. It led me to question our growing reliance on technology, the inevitability of errors and glitches, and the potential harm they can cause.
The installation features a projected revolving door that reacts to the proximity of the viewer. Using distance-sensing technology, the door rotates faster as individuals approach, creating an unsettling interaction that mirrors the rejection and danger technology can sometimes impose on humans. This behavior challenges the viewer to consider the delicate balance between technological utility and the risks of over-dependence on systems prone to malfunction or unintended consequences.
Through this piece, I aim to evoke reflection on how we coexist with technology, its imperfections, and the vulnerability it introduces into our lives.

Three Other Eyes
This project discusses a social science term, the 'Framing' theory. In this project, I researched and investigated several events on the internet where public opinion has reversed, using framing theory to explain the reasons behind these shifts. My goal is to remind people to always be aware that we are viewing the world through a framework established by others. As a result, we cannot be completely objective. What we can do is recognize our own framework, so that we can try to avoid being influenced by it.

Time Thieves
This is a collaborative project between two people. In this project, I explored game design, environmental design, character design, and some basic script writing in Roblox.

Anime & Game Illustrations
I have been obsessed with animation since I was little, and drawing animation characters remains one of my hobbies until today.

Short Animation Clips
Animation practices throughout college study

Experimental Animation
This collection features some experimental animation pieces where I combine reality with drawings, using stop motion, montage and unconventional storytelling to create unique visual narratives.

Concept Art
This collection showcases my exploration of concept art, including studies in 3D space, environment designs, and various sketches. Through these works, I focus on building immersive worlds, experimenting with perspective, lighting, and composition to bring ideas to life. Whether through detailed environments or quick sketches, I aim to create visuals that tell compelling stories and inspire further development.

More Character Designs...
This collection showcases character designs I created over the past four years in college, exploring different styles and approaches. Each piece represents a step in my journey of developing a versatile and expressive design style.

Sound Design Experiments
This collection features a series of sound design practice videos where I experimented with different audio techniques and software. These projects were purely exploratory, allowing me to refine my skills in sound effects, mixing, and audio manipulation. Through these exercises, I gained a deeper understanding of how sound shapes mood, enhances visuals, and brings scenes to life.

Sound Redesign
For this sound design project, I took an existing animated short(Burrow, 2020), removed its original audio, and reimagined the entire soundscape from scratch. This involved creating original music, recording voiceovers, and designing sound effects to match the visuals. The goal was to experiment with how sound influences storytelling, atmosphere, and emotional impact, exploring different ways to enhance the narrative through audio. This project is made by 2 people including me.

The Best Coffee
The Best Coffee is a short 2D animation about a café owner with the unique ability to read minds, offering customers exactly what they need—sometimes before they even realize it themselves. This project was created during my second year of college, a time when I was still exploring the field of 2D animation. Through this piece, I experimented with storytelling, character animation, and visual style, refining my skills in bringing narratives to life through motion.

Treasure in the Sea
A Steampunk Cartoon Adventure
In a city by the sea, where the waves whisper secrets and the salty air hums with the sound of machinery, a group of adventurous friends call the coast their home. The shoreline is their playground, dotted with the remains of old shipwrecks—rusted hulls and forgotten relics of the past. But to them, these ruins aren’t just wreckage; they’re treasure troves of mystery, brimming with stories waiting to be uncovered.
This project explores character designs, personalities, and narrative.
